Training Simulations
Since 1990, I have scripted realistic training scenarios for police, crime/gang prevention, schools, workplace violence, conflict resolution, faith groups, terrorism and leadership. I train actors for the simulations. This allows host instructors to step out of the dual roles of suspect/victim/terrorist and greatly enhances training effectiveness by introducing “unknown elements.”
Scenarios/scripts are unique and developed in conjunction with the host agency/organization and tailored to meet specific needs, objectives and community concerns. For documentation see The Terrorism Papers.
Community Relations/Public Service Announcements (PSA’s)
I am blessed and deeply thankful when I am able to apply my media/promotions and police experience to community service or PSA’s for crime prevention and as in the life of Yvette Cade of Prince George’s County, MD, who was doused with gasoline and set on fire by her ex-husband. Yvette’s assault was captured on a store surveillance video. She later appeared on the Oprah and Nancy Grace shows to raise awareness for domestic violence prevention.
In August 2006, I had the privilege to coordinate the officials, media and presentation of a new car and a scholarship to the school of communication with Don Beyer Volvo and Regent University to advance Yvette’s work to prevent domestic violence. I also compiled the Public Safety Appreciation and Volvo sections on her website to thank the organizations, officials, law enforcement personnel, and individuals who attended and/or supported the event. Please see Yvette Cade Fund.
During National Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October 2008, No Jurisdictional Boundaries had the opportunity to present a Leadership Courage Award to Mildred Muhammad, the former wife of the "DC sniper." She received the award for founding After the Trauma, a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing domestic violence.
